dBBL Sound, Daniel Lovell, known by the pseudonym, "bumbum" to some, is from Auckland, New Zealand.

After developing a passion for music, audio and technology managed to combine them all and went on to train at the Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand.

After completing training Daniel began working at Auckland Audio in Auckland, a busy post production audio studio.
Here Daniel worked though from assistant to Head Engineer and Technical Manager, working on all types of audio production for Television and Radio Programming and Commercials.

During this time Daniel worked with many of the top advertising agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi, Y&R, ColensoBBDO, Whybin/TBWA amongst many others on television and radio advertising, working on sound design and mixing, while also mixing prime time television documentaries, sports shows, music shows and reality television, both for New Zealand and Internationally.

For a short time after Auckland Audio (1999-2008) Daniel became freelance and continued working in the busy Auckland post production studios before deciding to take a fortunate working holiday to Japan where he has now called home for nearly 9 years.

In Japan Daniel has become involved with both the creative and technical sides of the audio industry, offering his experience and advice at Avid as an Audio Application Specialist while also offering sound design and mixing in a freelance capacity.

In his freelance capacity in Japan Daniel has worked on several major advertising campaigns for clients such as BMW, Sony, Nissan, Honda, Renault, Nike, Facebook, and Bridgestone amongst others.
